break!!!

Alright so i went to Todo Santos and it was AMAZING!!! amazing! nothing could have gone better!
we got on a bus to La paz and then my group of seven (travis, Kelsey, Caitlin, Blair, Keegan, Rachel, and myself) got in our two cars and drove to Todos! we went straight to the beach where we set up camp and went swimming and surfing immediatly!I don't remember what we did for each meal but we went out a lot to the local places that were REALLY good! Napped on the beach often and played in the sand! I took a lot of pictures of people surfing and dogs playing in the water!!

One day we went out on the town and walked around finding all the cute little shops and buying christmas presents tehee! we saw Hotel California which was not as exciting as the song but thats really okay!

another day we went to find this fresh water beach and all we knew was the m ile marker so we kinda went off raoding even though it was a road but WOW it was beautiful ocean 30second water small fresh water stream coming from a small pond SO CLEAR and nice cause we hadn't showered and we were so full of salt! when I was napping on the beach there I sat up to look around and had to do a double take because there were horses on the beach!!! four of them they were beautiful! i played with them and kissed and hugged them! on of them bite me.... I tried to get on one and it turned to kick me so i dove into the stream.... tehee oops

almost every night we had a bon fire! we had parties on the beach and met some amazing people. from all over! New Zealand, Australia, Oregon, Cali, and Todos. There was this kid on the beach that we rented our surf boards from he helped us with everything from surfing to finding our keys when we lost them

one night we decided it would be a good idea to scale a wall and check out this castle that was still being built... and wow was it amazing on the inside! there were no railings so we had to be careful not to fall off the stairs or down the big hole in the middle of the ballroom. we made it all the way to the top in the tower and it was beautiful and amazing.... until we saw a light in the downstairs.... we fled like there is no tomorrow out of that place!!!

One of the nights we went out to a club/bar and danced to live music met a ton of fun locals and visitors there it was amazingly fun

I can't remember anything else I mean it was five days of doing what we want when we want from eating breakfast at the restaurant on the beach to swimming at 2am!

Das klub and a little bit morepre break!

Alright to this saturday was the day we have all been waiting for, we party mostly every weekend and have a themed dance party things like 90's where we listened to backstreet boys, spice girls and other things we heard growing up... but this weekend we had DAS KLUB!!!!

it started with a costume contest(by cabana), and moved on to a party on the beach fallowed by the long awaited DANCE PARTY!!!! Das Klub was described to us as euro trash so my Cabana decided we would do just that dress as trash and we creatively wore trash bags! The theme song for the night was called "Sex, drugs, & house" because it's very Das Klubish song. So our Cabana wore bands that said SEX DRUGS & HOUSE... I was house. our Cabana won the "trashtastic" award because we took it so literal. (we had More dress up with us because her cabana chose not to partake in dressing up, they did other important things like music and photos)

the costume contest was judged by out Student Affairs managers and out Interns who also got into it and dressed in all black. IT was awesome!!

while we were out on the beach partying and playing what they call Beirut? i don't really know how to spell it but about five Mexicans showed up and partied with us then five more and more and more and they kept showing up. it became ummm well they were in the girls' personal bubbles and we had to have our guys save us and we eventually just went back in the school to avoid them.... but thats not so bad because we proceeded to have the DANCE PARTY!!!!!!!!

Stuffage I've been doing

Alright sooo monday this week i taught english on monday we did Good morning beautiful the song that was fun (which i woke up to this morning because someone thought it would be a good idea to sing it to me :-P)

and I played basket ball one of the days as always I sucked lol but it was fun i guess.I fell and scraped up my knee which was no big deal but my ankle was swollen the next day meh I'm kinda used to that lol ya know the getting hurt thing!

We did a death march fucking looking for dead animals it was umm interesting we found lots of dead things (i will post pictures of them don't worry) and one live turtle :'( she looked so sad. She was covered in barnacles we helped her get back into the ocean... poor girl she could barley swim she was so weakon the way out to do this two of our boats broke... they were under the building when it collapsed and hadn't been used since... hmmm uh ohh Miguel came to their rescue though and we used his boat for the trip home!! when we were all done we got to play in the water which was awesome Wiley pointed out that you could see the fish in the waves as they came at you AWESOME you have no idea i was so enthralled by it! when we got back I had this awkward sun burn line on my back(I'll put pictures of that too)

Sooo we played capture the flag and any one who knows me knows I played this growing up like once a week at our neighbor's house so I fricken love it! not to brag or anything but my team won both times and then just like little kid soccer games WE WENT OUT FOR ICE CREAM!!! and I ate more than anyone not surprised? i would assume not since I live off of it at home.

I finally got envelopes so I can send my letters I wrote years ago!

I know there is more but i am forgetting it...... midterms are coming up... project...papers... BREAK!!! I'll tell you more about that when i know more lol

OHH I FREAKIN KNOW!!! yesterday was DR day so we cut a ton of Ulva into 5square cm and 2square cm pieces.... me and Emily went down by the cannery and got in the water there to get five big buckets and bring back to start experiments.... we drove like 2mph to get back to it wouldn't spill and you know what happened!? THE PLUG CAME OUT!!!!!!!!! I was so freakin mad i wanted to scream(instead i boroughed Wiley's ear, I'm surprised he puts up with me)

So they all went back after lunch and i cut more Ulva cause I was NOT wanting to go do it again just to fail so when they got back Emily and I set up her experiment got some false positives which sucked... but still had some good results we will wait and see only time can tell

my group went and got the discharge from the cannery like right from the pipe EWWWW it smelled so freakin gross!!!! I thought i was going to die but i didn't... so who knows

now we have beach clean up that should be interesting no one showed up last time and now there was the hurricane so I'm pretty dang sure no one is going to show up.... grrr face

sooo yeah thats really all that i have right now i am going to go get suited up to pick up everyone else's garbage. . . .

Alrighty so i made it through the food poisoning and and allergic reaction and the hurricane all in one piece!!! it was kinda fun went out and played in the rain some... it really wasn't that bad where we were San Carlos got it worse tho... nothing here is really too bad we have a hole in the class room rough ruff roof? lol HELP I'm so consumed by people making fun of how i say that word I've forgotten how to spell it THANKS MINNESOTA!

but yeah where we keep the cars is gone it collapsed onto the boats... and yeah our cabana made it like just fine Wiley has a sun roof(?) over his bed now that kinda sucks lol

So we are safe in a hotel here I am in a hallway watching a guy bag it up..... so no worries about the hurricane....

but you know how I was sick with food poisoning... two night ago when i was trying to fall asleep my eyes were involuntarily opening and my mouth wouldn't shut it was a little weird and annoying but not that big of a deal....

you know me I am always in control of my body and know everything that goes wrong with it and almost always WHY! I need to know WHY things are happening to my body

well last night the eyes thing started and my lips were making a frowning face (all of this I couldn't control) and then my jaw started to clench i thought maybe I had lock jaw but then it started grinding my teeth and setting my jaw off center right for five minutes the left and I would bit down so hard it felt as if my teeth would break. my right side of my tongue went numb along with the right side of my mouth... then my right hand started to clench up (I remind you I couldn't control ANY OF THIS) So I was going crazy... when my throat started to clench i knew that was it and I needed to go to the hospital so I did.... the doctor didn't have ANY idea what was wrong but he guess was that it was my body had had a minor allergic reaction to the antibiotics and my body was getting stressed about it and thats how it reacted.....

if this doesn't tell you how bad I felt and how scared I was then dear god you don't know me all I heard was the word "injection" and I was on the table then Braidy was like ummm in your butt.... so I got a shot WILLINGLY IN MY BUTT!!!!!!!!!!

it kinda died down not the jaw part though.... I had to get a little bit of help from Wiley with that... had he not been there i am pretty sure that i would still be crying wishing my body would just give up and die



Wiley just told me that the hurricane is still category 2 and is going to hit land around 10 i think .... so we'll see how this shit goes down i will update you on that .....

basically life is way better today with the hurricane that yesterday with the muscle spasms

homestay and such

alright so since I last wrote we've done a lot of stuff and I'm not going to be able to remember it all I'm sure so here it goes...

we played volley ball possibly worse than the first time lol

WENT TO THE DRESS SHOP i am getting this beautiful dress made P.S. the "dress lady" is my homestay mom!!!! but I'll get into that later....

we were going to play capture the flag buttttttt that got deferred for the reason of... we can't have school activities after people have been drinking ... the new SAM came the one from TCI her name is kate now we have 2caitlins and a kate.... geez....

I can't really think of what i did at all this week.... probably because I had a wonderful weekend and the week doesn't really matter in my mind any more sooo ON TO THE WEEKEND


SO friday we were supposed to meet our host families but ours couldn't come sooooo yeah but after that we had our long awaited 90's dance party and basically IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Saturday Caitlin B Sarah D and I went with our host family and they made us breakfast... i got super tired because I had taken my allergy medicine and had to take a nap .... then we helped make lunch and went to a neighbor's house and picked fresh fruit, mangoes, panomina or something like that, and guava.... we washed them and ate them it was AMAZING anf fresh SO SO GOOD!!!!

be had lunch at the beach and swam collected some clams and Scallops....I found a chocolate clam, hey are really good I guess, I wouldn't know....Lunch was sooo cool okay first off we made shade out of a fence the pickup and some random wood ..... then the grill wasn't working so we made a fire and a makeshift grill thing out of rocks so we could fry the fish... they know i don't eat meat so they made me spagetti!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woot!!!! went back to their house and did some karaoke that was awesome!!!!!

that night we came back here and I hung out with Wiley for a bit but it was late so we went to sleep pretty quickly

the next morning aka SUNDAY Sarah D and i got picked up (Caitlin went to a different home stay for that day) we had breakfast.... watched a movie and made lunch went to the beach again the made the weird shade with everything we culd find it was AWESOME! they are like all boyscouts super super resourceful! then we went back to the house and all took like an hour nap and then we went to church and it was kinda awesome!!!!!! with in five mintes of mass starting a guy handed me and Sarah english bibles so we could fallow everyone was so friendly I shook everyones hand in the church at least once after the we went back and had so chocolate eggnog(we had strawberry the night before) and then at like 8pm we went out for Sopes!!! it was DELISH! Marcela(my mom) was making for of me cause of my hick ups she says "you have a frog in your stomach" and then at dinner last night she told Sarah to find some one to kiss me so they would go away lol

when ever they introduce me to anyone they all look at me and go "ohh DisCo? DisCo? really?" it's SOOOOO funny and then Karina tells them how she asked for the CD's (discos) and I was like what?? and everyone laughed tehee giggle giggle

we proceeded to hang out in the plaza and we played on the Seesaw and i climbed a top the swing set and karina told me i am elastic lol

when we had to leave me sarah karina and mariela rode in the bed of the truck with Timon and Stewart!!! it was freakin awesome....

point being it was awesome!!! some time in a week or two Mariela is going going to dye my hair pink they went into Consti today and got the dye... I am STOKED



sooo today is DR and I changed mine to coverage,concentration and growth rate of Ulva... it's going to be more time efficient and work well with the others doing theirs with in the Ulva DR
