volley!?

so we had a volley ball tourni yesterday against the locals and basically... they killed us lol but thats okay cause we're thinking of doing it once a week which would be awesome!

today we learned how to make tamales which was fun and then we ate them which was even better!!!

i now have two injuries both very minor.... cut on the bottom of my foot from stepping on a clam and my skinned knee from sliding in the game .... point being ... I dunno

it's 93F here and the electricity went out so we don't have fans any more and are fucking dying! grrface!!!

waaa

so we had off yesterday and we took boats out to the dunes and spent the day out there playing in the sand making sand castles and digging deep holes... surfing and having a shit ton of fun!

we saw a man-o-war jelly fish washed a shore.... played in the waves and just had a blast.

today we got our directed research sub topics and I am finding how much Ulva is need to clean the bay of the pollutants created by the cannery without displacing species from the area!!!which to me is really exciting and to you is probably nothing lol

Since we got here

alright.... so we go here the second week of September and a lot has happened since then so bare with me and most of this probably won't be in order!!!

So we go here and it was the 13 of us 12 girls 1 boy.... then we found out the Turks and Caicos field statin got hit by the hurricane.... and that 8 of their guys were coming to join us!!!

so the 13 of us had a slow nice relaxing intro to things while we waited for the guys.... we went into town an lot and got to know the small town of Puerto San Carlos.

We went out to a beach and laid out in the sun!!! went snorkling we saw dolphins lobsters sealions crabs ya know the usual!!! :-P

then once the other group arrived things sped up a little bit there was a little less lounging in the sun we got a lot of readings but still a lot of fun snorkling and swimming partying on the beach and jumping off of the near by bridge into the water!!!!!!!

this week so far we had a camping trip that was basically amazing!!! We found several scorpions, this weird centipede thing and PLENTY OF BUGS

the best part was we went turtle catching the first night the groups caught two turtles.... the second night we caught 9 our Cabana caught two!! we named the big one Chupacabre and the little one Whistler!!!

when we relseased Whistler Caitlin and I got to hold on to it's back and it swam and pulled us!!!! it was AMAZING!!!!

P.S. earlier in the week we saw a toranchula!!!

Basically things are going bomb here end of story!!!
